The Cathedrals
The following is a list of all the cathedrals we know of in California. They represent a wide range of religious traditions and an amazing diversity of architecture and history. The most common patron of California's cathedrals? Mary. Nine cathedrals are named for her or in honor of an event in her life. Perhaps that's appropriate for one of the few states named for a woman, the mythical Califa.
